Many people, and maybe you too, don't realize is that the solution to their acne is probably attached to them right now! The solution I am referring to is your hands. How many times when you see that irresistibly juicy pimple do you succumb to your temptation and pop it? And how many times have you said to yourself,"Man if only I hadn't pooped that pimple it wouldn't look so bad." Well its true the more you touch and pop pimples the worse they are. Many times a pimple will rise to the surface of the skin, stay a while, check out the weather, maybe get a sun tan, but if you leave them alone long enough they will go down and vanish. Sure its fun to squirt pimple juice all on the mirror but your face will look worse! Not to mention pooping pimples leaves you at a higher risk for acne scarring. So my TIP numero uno is do not pop pimples, plain and simple. When the acne monster tempts you, just say say no!
There are a hundred different medicines that you can use to treat acne. There are over the counter creams and lotions as well as prescription medicine designed to help treat acne from within your body. For the cash strapped acne sufferer there are alternative ways to treat acne without spending too much and is considered much safer as it is natural. Herbal acne treatments have been proven to work and have been around as much as acne creams and medicines have been prescribed and advertised.
We all do this every day but there is a right way and a wrong way. Washing of your face and body twice a day will help your acne. Over-reacting to acne by washing six times a day will make things worse by depleting the skin of natural oils and encouraging the sebaceous glands to react by over-producing sebum. Avoid alcohol based products as these will dehydrate your skin causing the glands to produce more oil. Scrubbing your skin, as opposed to gently washing your body with a gentle soap, however good it makes you feel, will also remove essential skin oils ensuring future over-production of sebum. Moderation in all things.
